It took a few years but new gangs from Latin America are strengthening their foothold within major U.S. cities now that they have been allowed into the country with relative ease thanks to Biden’s border crisis.

The most glaring example is the alarms being raised from multiple jurisdictions about the threat of Tren de Aragua, a violent gang originating from the Aragua state of Venezuela. They are the main gang in the country, but they have firmly established roots in the U.S. since 2021. I have written about the gang before on Substack, the first time in November, but Tren de Aragua was not in the headlines nationwide.

That started to change after a pair of New York City police officers were attacked by Venezuelans in Times Square. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) revealed two of the attackers belong to Tren de Aragua.
