MEXICO CITY, Mexico — Another anti-cartel and anti-Sheinbaum protest took place in the country’s capital on Thursday, which happened on the same day as Mexico’s Revolution Day and shortly after the riot in front of the National Palace. Our neighbor’s Revolution Day is different from Mexican Independence Day, which takes place in September and was against the Spanish.

The most recent holiday is to mark when Mexicans rose up against Porfirio Diaz, who was president for a total of 30 years, in 1910 and even though he stepped down from power a year later, the war would continue until 1917 as different factions would fight for control. The war gave rise to some of Mexico’s famous heroes, like Emiliano Zapata and Francisco “Pancho” Villa.

I was able to interview her and she said this was her message to President Donald Trump:

While I believe the woman to be in the minority in Mexico in terms of her opinion, Mexicans are desperate for other options since the decades-long approach from both Mexico and the Untied States to the cartels is clearly not working.

Everyone one I have talked to, from taxi drivers to hotel staff to restaurant workers, is sick and tired of…
