CHICAGO, Ill. — While most Americans spent the day enjoying time off of work for Labor Day, far-left, communist, and anti-ICE protesters in Chicago marched in the streets to vocally oppose President Trump’s plan to deploy the National Guard to address the city’s crime rate.
With the extra personnel and resources sent to Washington, D.C. dramatically lowering the capital’s crime rate, it seems Trump will be using a modified plan in Chicago so locals can enjoy lower crime in the city.
Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) joined the protesters, saying, “Are you prepared to defend this land? This land that [was] built by slaves. The land that was built by indigenous people. The land that was built by workers. Are you prepared to defend this land?… I need you all to stand firm, to stand strong, if this president decides to continue to break this Constitution.”
The protesters marched in neighborhoods close to the heart of downtown, like Fulton Market. They did not go into the west or south sides of the city, places long known for their higher crime rates.
The march was peaceful. No major acts of violence took place. The same could not be said in other parts of the city for the Labor Day weekend. At least 59 people were shot, 7 of whom were killed. The most disturbing incidents were the multiple mass shootings that took place within 48 hours of each other. Showing how brazen the criminals are in Chicago, one of the mass shooters carried out the attack a stones throw away from Chicago police headquarters.
It is almost as if the criminals in the Windy City are daring Trump to proceed with his plan. They were well aware of the national scrutiny they are currently under. They could have laid low and waited for the news cycle to pass, but they still carried out their major crimes, business as usual.

I can't believe he said Chicago was built by slaves 🤣
"Break this Constitution" from the side that ignores the 1st and 2nd amendments and wants to get rid of the senate, electoral college, supreme court, and any other part that causes them inconvenience.
